Source Summary
My source that I have chosen is an informational genre. It is informational by providing examples and definitions. This piece is written in a is sections. One being, "What is business?" Another one is, "13 great reasons to study business." Some of the writing is written in bullets for more of an organized style. This informational piece is also convincing.
This source is way to better explain to me what business exactly is. The way that this source is written and explained is in a way that a high schooler would understand. It makes business sound fun and creative. It provides many examples of what kind of skills you need and will soon learn. There are many examples I can use from this source that I will include in my paper.

Analysis on Assignment
I definitely think this assignment will be interesting because I like to research different fields of study. I like to research fields of study because I am completely clueless on what I want to study. I am just taking my gen eds right now and I'm going to figure it out as I go through college. Therefore, I will probably write about something that I know best and that would be business. With business, there are a wide variety of things to choose from that you could do. What I like about business as well is that in a lot of cases, there are many opportunities of being able to work your way up to bigger, better, and higher paying positions.

English 101 paper/ rhetorical style
In English 101, I wrote about my sister and her experience of having a baby. It was an interview style paper. The assignment was to interview someone on something that the interviewee had experienced. We weren't able to speak much but only when it was time to ask another question which we had already prepared. The challenging part about this was that I already knew everything about the story that she had told me. Therefore I had to make sure that my audience was informed as much as I was. I was difficult to adjust the story for the audience. My stance on the interview was that having a baby isn't all fun and games and that sometimes it can be unbearable. I made sure that the audience knew at the end that it was definitely worth it. I feel like I already had the paper written in my head before I went on the interview. I asked questions that I knew she would answer so that it would fit with how I wanted to paper to be laid out. I would ask questions like, "what kind of physical changes did you go through?" I already knew every bit of physical changes that she had because she complained about them to me. There were some changes that I wish I could have made now that I look at it. I wish I could have used more specific details and painted a better picture for my audience.
Introduction (Questions on Syllabus)
I was late to this class so this assignment will be turned in late. I was registered into another English class and then transferred to this one. As I was going through the syllabus, I noticed that is was very easy to read. I feel as if it was easy to ready because of a couple of reasons. One, it was too long so it didn't overwhelm me with reading it. Also, the subheading were clear and then the graphs are easy to read. Everything was easy to understand and it makes me excited for the class.
I'm very curious on what kind of genres we will be writing about. I'm hoping that we will be writing creative things or maybe something out of our comfort zone. I was wondering if you use blackboard or emails a lot. Sometimes I'll have random questions that might need to be answered quickly so how often do you check emails? The part of the syllabus that talks about how we can revise our writing and turn it in before the end of the semester; can we do that with every paper or just certain ones? That is all I can think of for right now. I have already hear a lot about the syllabus in class.
