English 101 paper/ rhetorical style
In English 101, I wrote about my sister and her experience of having a baby. It was an interview style paper. The assignment was to interview someone on something that the interviewee had experienced. We weren't able to speak much but only when it was time to ask another question which we had already prepared. The challenging part about this was that I already knew everything about the story that she had told me. Therefore I had to make sure that my audience was informed as much as I was. I was difficult to adjust the story for the audience. My stance on the interview was that having a baby isn't all fun and games and that sometimes it can be unbearable. I made sure that the audience knew at the end that it was definitely worth it. I feel like I already had the paper written in my head before I went on the interview. I asked questions that I knew she would answer so that it would fit with how I wanted to paper to be laid out. I would ask questions like, "what kind of physical changes did you go through?" I already knew every bit of physical changes that she had because she complained about them to me. There were some changes that I wish I could have made now that I look at it. I wish I could have used more specific details and painted a better picture for my audience.
